ARTICLE III
GENERAL PROVISIONS

 


Custodians and assistant custodian engineers shall be directly responsible to the Custodian Engineer of the building to which assigned. The custodial engineer shall be responsible to the principal of the building, and the Superintendent or his designee, or supervisor exercising his authority.

The Superintendent of Schools shall formulate the general rules and regulations relating to the custodial service for the entire system.

The Superintendent or his designee shall have primary responsibility to enforce the rules and regulations, determine the volume of work to be performed, the time factor involved, and manpower required to perform the work properly.

The school employer shall notify the custodial/maintenance employee(s) of changes in administrative structure or change in immediate supervisor. The Union may request a meeting or discuss (but not negotiate such a change pursuant to Article XXVI, Section 1).
