ARTICLE IV
MANAGEMENT RIGHTS

 


1.The determination and administration of school policy, the operation of the schools, and the direction of employees are vested exclusively in the Board of School Trustees of the School City of Hobart which is a legally constituted body for that purpose.

2.The school employer, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of this school corporation, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, all power, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities to manage and direct the operations and activities of the School City of Hobart to the full extent conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and Constitution of the State of Indiana, and the United States, except as expressly limited by this Agreement, including but not limited to the right of the school employer:
 

All of the rights, functions and prerogatives of the Board and its designated management which are not expressly and specifically restricted or modified by one or more explicit provisions of this Agreement are reserved and retained exclusively to the Board.
